Full Job Description

Join the exceptional team at the Pisgah Inn! Located at the Peak of the Beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway!

We are looking for a professional Cook for the our 2026 season. This position is seasonal. Our season begins April 1st and runs through Nov 1st.

*To find our location, use google maps and type in "Pisgah Inn" without the address. It will say we are in Canton and though not our address, that does give you the best directions.*

On-site dorm room shared with roommate available if needed. Must be able to work up to 6 days a week if live on-site.

Responsibilities:

Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow the chef’s instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers

Requirements:

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Must be able to lift a required 50 lbs.
Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time / 8 hour+ shifts
Must be eligible to work in U.S.
Background Check required
