Full Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Clean Team, Inc., Corporate office in Toledo, OH

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

The Company: A family-owned and operated commercial cleaning company since 1996 with locations in 9 states. We are a growth-minded organization acquiring companies that fit our strategic plan and culture. Additionally, we distribute janitorial supplies and products in 4 states. We also own and operate a commercial cleaning franchise company, IntegriServ Cleaning Systems, LLC and own properties in various markets.

Position Overview: Clean Team is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting software. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high quality work.

Position Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, fixed assets, account reconciliations, and sales and use tax returns.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and account standards.
Review, reconcile, and resolve account discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and analysis of performance.
Collaborate with other departments to support the financial aspects of business operations.
Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-location environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

CPA or CMA designation (or in progress) is a plus, but not necessary
