Job Overview
Are you a dynamic communicator with a passion for technology and sales? We’re seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, driving business growth through outbound calling, warm calling, and engaging prospects in meaningful conversations. Your enthusiasm and persuasive skills will help generate qualified leads, nurture relationships, and set the stage for successful sales opportunities. Duties

Conduct outbound calls and warm outreach to prospective clients using CRM software to identify new business opportunities
Qualify inbound leads by understanding client needs and matching them with our technology solutions
Engage in professional negotiations to schedule meetings and product demonstrations with potential customers
Maintain detailed records of interactions within Salesforce or other CRM platforms to track progress and follow-up actions
Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted outreach campaigns that generate interest and inbound inquiries
Support business development initiatives by researching market trends and identifying potential sectors for expansion
Provide excellent customer service through clear communication, active listening, and timely follow-up to build trust and rapport

CobbleStone Software, leader in eProcurement and Contract Management Software solutions is looking to fill the position of Sales Development Representative. In this role, you will support our B2B SaaS sales organization by generating qualified pipeline leads, engaging prospective customers, assessing fit, and handing off sales-ready opportunities to the appropriate sales team members. This position plays a critical role in building top-of-funnel momentum and contributing to predictable revenue growth.

Job Details

· Generate new business opportunities through outreach, inbound follow-up, referrals, networking, and in-person interactions, as applicable.

· Research target accounts and prospects to identify decision-makers, understand business needs, and personalize outreach efforts.

· Qualify leads and early-stage opportunities based on defined criteria to determine fit, interest, timing, and potential value.

· Schedule and coordinate discovery calls, product conversations, or introductory meetings for the sales team, ensuring complete and accurate handoff notes.

· Build and maintain strong prospect and customer relationships to support trust, repeat business, and long-term growth opportunities.

· Track sales activity, prospect engagement, customer interactions, and follow-up tasks using CRM tools, including a home-grown CRM, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

· Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, outreach efforts, contact updates, and meeting outcomes to support forecasting and reporting.

· Work alongside Sales Management on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to review activity levels, monitor sales goals, and improve conversion performance.

· Deliver clear and confident presentations, respond to common objections, and communicate the company’s value proposition effectively.

· Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, customer preferences, and industry developments to continuously improve outreach and qualification effectiveness.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on lead quality, messaging, and follow-up strategy.

· Consistently meet or exceed activity, meeting-setting, and pipeline contribution goals established for the role.

Attend conference/trade shows for networking opportunities to promote brand. Travel will be required.
Comply with corporate policies and handbooks.
Assist with obtaining the company and team goals,

Understand and adhere to company, team and department’s policies and procedures.
Understand your job duties and metrics; perform annual training as requested by the company.
Professionally manage duties, be on-time, detail tasks management, client feedback and suggestions.
In-depth understanding of CobbleStone products and features as required by your specific role.
Respond to internal and external related inquiries or requests and aid other staff members as required.
Take directions from management, directors, superiors, and others and provide advice in a professional manner.
Track and report on metrics
Professional communication and team interaction.
When asked: assist and/or lead the mentoring other staff.
Understand your roles, job duties, and metrics.
Perform general office duties inclusive of answering phones, emails, meetings, and other related job duties.
Retain strict confidentiality obligations of company policies and those if its clients; inclusive of not participating in, responding to surveys/questions, or posting company/client/vendor/employee or non-public information on social media sites or other public sources.
Maintain compliance with PTO and time-off policies, security policies, and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and client contract obligations; strive to schedule all time-off in advance and coordinate with manager and Human Resources.
Be reliable, professional, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Assist with meeting Companies goal of client revenue growth, client retention, profitability goals.
May require travel, may require long period of time at a computer and other physical activities.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Assist with other duties assigned as required to achieve company’s mission.
Provide superior customer service.
Report to the VP of Sales, Sales Manager, or equivalent

Preferred Experience

· Previous experience in sales, customer service, business development, or a related customer-facing role is a plus but not required.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with prospects and customers.

· Goal-driven mindset with a strong desire to meet and exceed performance targets.

· Comfort working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with a high level of activity and follow-through.

· Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple conversations and follow-up tasks across phone, email, social, and CRM systems.

· Coachability, resilience, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a metric-driven sales environment.

· Familiarity with CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and standard business software is preferred.

Miscellaneous:

Must have excellent English communication skills.

Must be able to legally work in the United States, must pass background, criminal, and drug testing.
