Job Title: Back of House Shift Lead (Advancement Opportunities)

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

About Us: Join our dynamic team at CrushYard, we are a pickle ball club and restaurant/bar passionate about delivering exceptional service and high-quality dishes to our guests. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Back of House Shift Lead who is ready to take charge and ensure smooth operations during their shift.

Position Overview: As a Back of House Shift Lead, you will oversee kitchen operations, lead our kitchen staff team, and ensure that all food preparation meets our high standards. You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, while also mentoring and leading the team to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory, track supplies, and assist in placing orders to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked.
Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
Monitor and manage kitchen equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained and functioning properly.
Address any issues or concerns that arise during the shift, escalating to management when necessary.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen leadership role, preferably as a Line Cook, Kitchen Supervisor, or similar position.
ServSafe Certified
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
