Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Cedar Room, a bar and lounge located next to Pruneyard Cinemas in Campbell, is seeking an experienced Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor with strong cocktail knowledge to help lead service and assist the Bar Manager in bar operations.

This position is ideal for a bartender who enjoys both working behind the bar and helping guide a team. The Lead Bartender will support daily operations, lead staff during service, and help maintain a professional and welcoming bar environment for guests.

This role requires someone comfortable leading shifts, directing staff during service, and stepping in to maintain service standards when needed.

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of classic cocktails who also enjoys creativity and craft cocktail development.

Responsibilities

Assist the Bar Manager with bar operations as needed, including inventory management, ordering, and staff scheduling
Lead bartenders during service to maintain high standards of hospitality, efficiency, and cleanliness
Prepare classic cocktails and specialty drinks, and contribute to seasonal and menu cocktail development
Maintain bar organization, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
Assist with training bartenders and reinforcing operational procedures
Help manage live music nights, special events, and high-volume service periods
Support opening and closing procedures and ensure smooth bar workflow throughout service

Schedule

3–5 shifts per week
Primarily evening shifts
At least one weekend day required

Minimum Requirements

2+ years bartending experience
1 year supervisory or leadership experience in a bar or restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
Valid California Food Handler Card

Preferred Qualifications

Experience creating craft cocktails
Experience working high-volume service during live music or events
Strong interest in hospitality and guest experience
