Position Summary

WORLD SPA is seeking an experienced Temporary Human Resources Manager to provide leadership and operational support for the Human Resources department during a temporary assignment. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day HR functions, supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, administering HR policies and procedures, and partnering with leadership to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration based on business needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced hospitality environment and provide immediate support to managers and employees.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the Human Resources department during the temporary assignment.
Partner with department leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace issues.
Advise managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters in a timely and confidential manner.
Support employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with company policies.
Administer employee leave, benefits, HR documentation, and personnel records.
Ensure compliance with federal, New York State, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR files.
Support payroll processing and HRIS administration as needed.
Recommend improvements to HR processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or luxury service environments.
Previous experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist.
Strong knowledge of New York State and federal employment laws.
Experience managing employee relations, compliance, investigations, leave administration, and performance management.
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
