Full Job Description

Chef

Tidewater Restaurant group is a small, fast-casual restaurant group with a focus on fresh ingredients and local produce. We are looking for an Executive Chef to lead our team and set the table for a great dining experience.

The Chef will be responsible for the following:

Oversee all food and beverage production in the kitchen, including menu development, planning, preparation and cooking.
Maintain a menu that meets company standards for variety, freshness, and quality.
Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner following the recipes, steps and procedures outlined in the recipe books.
Ensure that all dishes are presented properly to customers and that customers are satisfied with their dining experiences.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and ready for use according to company standards.
Run food and labor cost at or below goals set by upper management

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of culinary procedures, methods, and equipment preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling.
