Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of clinical procedures, patient assessments, and care plans, all while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through proactive nursing practices and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management for acute pain, hospice, or chronic conditions.
Assist with specialized procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management in various settings including ICU, emergency room, or outpatient clinics.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations like laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures such as sonography or mammography when required.
Provide critical care support in trauma centers or Level I/II trauma centers; manage airway techniques and critical response protocols efficiently.
Coordinate discharge planning and case management for patients in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation to support quality care delivery across all departments.

Skills

Extensive experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
Proficiency in advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, aseptic technique, wound suturing, and catheter care.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning.
Critical care experience in ICU or trauma settings; familiarity with trauma medicine protocols and Level I/II trauma center standards.
Skilled in managing complex cases involving infectious disease care, pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health needs.
Ability to perform triage effectively in urgent care or emergency room environments; experience with pediatric and neonatal resuscitation procedures preferred.
Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and medical documentation best practices to ensure precise recordkeeping.
