Body Shop Estimator

Rick Case Automotive is seeking an experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our high-volume collision center. We're looking for a motivated professional with a proven work history who thrives in a team-oriented environment where people genuinely care about each other's success.

Job Summary

The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, and working closely with customers, insurance companies, and the repair team to ensure a smooth repair process from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage.
Prepare accurate repair estimates, including labor, parts, and materials.
Review repair estimates with the Body Shop Manager or Foreman.
Coordinate with insurance adjusters to resolve estimate discrepancies when necessary.
Determine whether damaged components should be repaired or replaced.
Evaluate repair feasibility versus total loss based on vehicle value.
Determine salvage value for total-loss vehicles when applicable.
Complete required insurance documentation and repair recommendations.
Estimate costs for repainting, customization, or specialty vehicle conversions as needed.
Review final repair invoices for accuracy before vehicle delivery.
Maintain strong working relationships with insurance representatives, customers, and internal team members.
Provide outstanding customer service throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator required.
Knowledge of collision repair procedures and estimating software.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
