Full Job Description

Dr. Deborah Maken’s patient-centered naturopathic medical clinic in downtown Prescott is seeking a reliable, highly organized, and professional Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our team. As our current Office Manager transitions into the role of Director of Operations, we are looking for a long-term team member to become the primary front desk presence for our growing practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience and wants to grow with a supportive, mission-driven practice.

Position: Front desk medical assistant

About Us: We are a small, patient-centered naturopathic medical clinic led by a dedicated naturopathic physician who believes in treating the whole person. Our services blend traditional healing methods with modern, evidence-based care, including acupuncture, nutrient injections, one-on-one patient consultations, red light therapy, and natural prescriptions. Our mission is to empower patients on their health journey with empathy, education, and support. We pride ourselves on creating a calm, welcoming environment that honors both our patients and our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls, emails, texts, faxes, and patient requests
Order labs, imaging, and call in prescriptions
Maintain schedule: schedule patient visits and send out appointment reminders via text/call
Process payments (cash, check, and card) accurately
Maintain organized and confidential patient records
Manage front desk operations and support clinic workflow
Keep doctor apprised of all calls and tasks that need to be done on a timely basis
Order supplements/supplies as needed
Keep the physician informed of messages and priorities

Qualifications:

1–2 years of experience in a medical office or administrative healthcare setting preferred
Medical assistant experience preferred but not required
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive situations with calmness and discretion
Proactive, dependable, and able to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
Interest in naturopathic, holistic, or integrative medicine preferred
CPR certification a plus

Schedule & Availability

Office Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Lunch 12:30–2:00 PM)
Part-time: 26-29 hours per week
