Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Mitigation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all mitigation operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. This position leads mitigation teams and manages water, fire, mold, biohazard, and other emergency restoration projects from initial loss through project completion.

The Mitigation Manager is responsible for operational performance, profitability, employee development and retention, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policies and safety standards. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, insurance adjusters, project teams, and company leadership to ensure successful project execution and exceptional service delivery.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership

· Lead and manage Mitigation Project Managers, Technicians, Crew Chiefs, and Coordinators in daily operations.

· Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to improve team performance and operational efficiency.

· Promote a culture of accountability, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.

· Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and field inspections.

· Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent within the mitigation department.

· Lead departmental efforts to achieve revenue, profitability, and EBITDA goals.

· Ensure proper utilization of company software systems, including Procore, Salesforce, and other operational platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

Proficient in the English language.
Bilingual abilities are considered an advantage.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of water, fire, mold, and environmental mitigation processes.
Familiarity with Xactimate, Salesforce, Procore, DASH, MICA, or similar industry software preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years of restoration industry experience.

· Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience within mitigation operations.

· Experience managing emergency restoration projects.

· IICRC certifications are preferred (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, or related certifications).

· Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical and Other Requirements

This is a field position, and working conditions may vary, ranging from extremely hot to cold depending on the climate. The position requires 8-hour days, flexible hours, and occasional extended hours. Daily travel is necessary for customer and vendor visits, and overnight stays may be required on occasion. Reasonable accommodation can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill the essential job functions.

Additional Information

This is a field-based position. Working conditions may vary from extreme heat to cold depending on weather and project conditions. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and emergency response situations as needed.

Frequent travel to customer locations, project sites, and company offices is required. Overnight travel may occasionally be necessary.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
