Full Job Description

Position Overview: The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the general upkeep of the CommUnity’s facilities and grounds. This position will perform custodial and facility maintenance work as required for the properties owned/leased by CommUnity, 1121 and 1105 Gilbert Ct, 1045 Hwy 6 E (Pepperwood Plaza Panty) and 5048/5050 Hwy 6 (Healing Prairie Farms). This position also coordinates maintenance activities for all properties. The Facilities Coordinator must be reliable, independent, self-motivated and work with volunteers.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

General

Perform and/or manage daily/weekly/monthly custodial duties including but not limited to, cleaning floors, windows, bathrooms, commercial kitchen and dining room, along with periodic cleaning in other areas.
Perform and/or schedule periodic and urgent building and equipment repairs.
Management of preventative maintenance schedules for various equipment on properties.
Oversee the hiring of seasonal maintenance as needed, including but not limited to snow removal and lawn maintenance.
Coordinate supply orders for cleaning and maintenance.
Oversee any building/renovations projects that happen on any of CommUnity’s properties
Serve as the project lead for all facility renovations, remodels, improvement projects, and new construction initiatives.
Other tasks as assigned.

1105 Kitchen

Ensures the maintenance and equipment of the 1105 Project commercial kitchen are implemented and compliance is maintained.
Meet with potential kitchen renters and coordinates the rental process from a facility stand point.

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Supervises: Maintenance and grounds staff, vendors and volunteers

Requirements:

Ability to work with a flexible schedule, with occasional evening and weekend availability. Available to be on call for facilities emergencies.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Personal attributes such as self-improvement and development of new skills, friendliness, tact, enthusiasm, and honestly.
Ability to maintain confidentiality as it applies to the various agencies within the 1105 Project.
Submit to criminal background check.

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and work as a part of a team.
The ability to work with others, including volunteers on various projects at the CommUnity
Demonstrated track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair
Experience working with contractors for remodeling projects, new builds and facilities updates
Experience with Facilities Project Management
Supports facility needs of Administrative Offices, Food Bank and Healing Praire Farm locations
Responsible for managing maintenance and repairs of agency vehicle fleet

Comprehensive Benefits Package:

● Competitive Salary: $45,000 - 55,000 annually (based on experience).

● Health Insurance: Wellmark Blue Cross ($74 per pay period for employee,

CommUnity pays $400 per month towards dependent coverage).

● Dental Insurance: Delta Dental ($1 per pay period for employee).

● Retirement Savings: CommUnity matches up to 6% of employee salary after six

months of service, vesting immediately at 100% after 6 months.

● Life/AD&D Insurance: 100% paid by CommUnity

● Long Term Disability: 100% paid by CommUnity

● Paid Time Off: 4 weeks accrued in the 1st year, plus 8 hours of sick leave

accrued monthly, 2 floating holidays annually, 9 paid holidays throughout the

year.

● Paid parental leave: 4 weeks of paid leave after birth or adoption of a child

(must be employed 6 full months to be eligible)
