CNC Operator | Troy, MI | WGS Global Services

WGS Global Services is hiring a CNC Operator for our Troy, Michigan facility. Founded in Flint, Michigan in 2008, WGS has spent 16+ years powering manufacturing across the Midwest and South. We're an ISO 9001:2015–certified operation serving automotive OEMs, Tier 1–3 suppliers, and defense and commercial manufacturers. We're looking for a reliable, detail-driven operator who takes pride in holding tolerances and hitting production. Whether you've got years on the controls or you're early in your machining career, if you show up and do the work right, there's a place for you here.

What you'll do

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce parts to specification
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings
Load raw material, set tool offsets, change tooling, and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality
Document production counts and quality data accurately
Keep your work area clean and organized (5S) and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Communicate issues — tool wear, out-of-spec parts, machine faults — to your lead or supervisor right away

What we're looking for

High school diploma or GED
Prior CNC operating or machining experience preferred — motivated candidates willing to learn will be considered and trained
Comfortable reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
Familiarity with G-code, machine setup, or offsets is a plus
Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 lbs
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
