Full Job Description

Job Summary
Macro Technology Group is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer II to provide advanced technical support across diverse client environments. This position is onsite at our corporate office, with travel to client locations as needed.

The IT Support Engineer II is responsible for supporting client infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environments, network security systems, and backup platforms. This role requires strong technical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to work directly with clients in a professional and confident manner. The ideal candidate is capable of independently diagnosing and resolving infrastructure, cloud, and security related issues while maintaining ownership through resolution and ensuring operational stability.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, network, and cloud related issues across client environments.
Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments including identity, access, collaboration, and security controls.
Support firewall environments including rule configuration, VPN connectivity, and network troubleshooting.
Investigate and remediate endpoint security alerts and suspicious activities.
Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot backup systems and recovery processes.
Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, configurations, and resolutions to ensure operational continuity.
Communicate directly with clients regarding issue status, remediation plans, and technical recommendations.
Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution.
Contribute to internal knowledge base development and operational process improvement.
Participate in on call schedule.
Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the job position, consistent with attendance expectations.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Core Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and represent the company professionally in client interactions.
Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, cloud, and security related issues.
Sound judgment and decision making ability in production environments.
Strong organizational skills with disciplined documentation habits and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced managed services environment.
Positive attitude with a collaborative team mindset
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving technologies

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
