Our client, a prestigious luxury jewelry and watch brand, is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes of an iconic brand where precision, collaboration, and attention to detail are highly valued. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$28/hr - $33/hr

Position Overview:
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations. From processing invoices and vendor payments to reconciling accounts and supporting month-end activities, you will be a trusted partner to both the Finance team and business stakeholders. This role offers excellent exposure within a luxury retail environment and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently.
Review, verify, and code invoices for proper approval and payment.
Manage vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Assist with month-end closing activities and accounts payable reporting.
Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation.
Monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments.
Support audit requests and provide necessary financial documentation.
Collaborate with internal departments to improve AP processes and workflow efficiency.
Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

4 - 10 years of Accounts Payable experience.
Experience processing high-volume invoices in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

Experience within the luxury retail, jewelry, watch, fashion, or consumer goods industries.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
Experience supporting the month-end close and audit preparation.
Knowledge of expense management and vendor compliance procedures.

Education Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
