Full Job Description

Affordable Property Management and Investment company is seeking an experienced HUD Property Manager to join our team in St. Louis, MO!

This position supervises a staff of 2-3 employees on site.

We are looking for a self-starter, independent hard worker, proactive, and diligent.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum experience:

Minimum 4 years of experience in a supervisor capacity.
Minimum 3 years of previous experience in the property management sector. Or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Outstanding knowledge of HUD policies as well as Project-Based Section 8 rules and regulations for Project-Based Affordable Housing.
Knowledge of HUD Secure Systems; TRACS, HAP, and EIV on a HUD governed property.
Should have excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the residents, community staff, and HUD administrator/State Monitoring Agency.
Should possess a take-charge personality with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with little to no supervision and work well under pressure.
Possess organizational skills in addition to outstanding computer background and have general administrative experience, and be able to comply with policies and procedures.
Experience in working closely with local city officials and act as a liaison between the community and local government.
At least 3 years of affordable housing property management experience overseeing a busy complex and staff that includes responsibility for financial and operational results, HUD administration, and staff supervision to ensure compliance with site-specific program.
Prefer COS or HCM certification on a HUD governed property.
Certification as a resident manager.
Bookkeeping experience.
Experience in both general marketing and affirmative marketing.
Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited College or University highly preferred.

The Property Manager monitors all Affordable Housing files, records, and computer databases, ensuring that they are properly secured and that they comply with HUD regulations and Authority policies. Monitors files for income discrepancies.

Identifies clients receiving multiple subsidy assistance, and takes appropriate action.

Marketing of property.
Ensuring documentation for HUD is submitted properly.
Maintenance reports.
Vendor Management.
Training of new hires.
Ensuring all lease documents are submitted properly.
Working hand in hand with the local government.
Uphold all regulations for HUD and Section 8.
Walking of property on daily basis.
