Full Job Description

The Company

Harvest Small Business Finance, LLC, a California limited liability company, was created to originate and service loans backed by owner-occupied, multi-purpose real estate, in accordance with the Small Business Administration’s 7(a) loan program. The Company is a significant originator of small balance commercial loans in several major markets throughout the United States. Harvest is committed to serving borrowers in underserved markets and is dedicated to helping our customers maintain and create jobs in their respective communities.

Position Summary

Duties related to the special servicing of a portfolio of SBA 7(a), PPP, 504 and Conventional real-estate secured loans.

Laguna Hills, CA / Hybrid-Remote

Essential Job Functions

Develop and lead workout and liquidation strategies on a portfolio of defaulted commercial real estate and SBA loans to maximize recoveries
Manage a portfolio of problem loans that may include short sale, voluntary sale, collections, bankruptcy, workout, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, REO, etc.
Utilizes a high degree of independence in managing a large portfolio of a diverse and complex nature.
Works in a team environment developing and recommending strategies to maximize recovery and reduce losses.
Works closely with borrower and attorneys to review and restructure credits with the goal to secure repayment terms, verify and secure additional collateral, attain an equity position or charge-off the loan as appropriate.
Maintains awareness of current collection and lending laws for all types of loans.
Preparing litigation, SBA universal purchase packages, and SBA wrap up reports.

Education/Experience

1-5 years of direct experience in SBA/Commercial Lending workout and liquidation required.
Experience with Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies preferred.
Knowledge of SBA SOP preferred.
Experience with foreclosure, court process, out of court restructuring preferred.
Able to deal with problems involving multiple variables in non-standardized situations.
Four-year college degree preferred, or 2 years of college education plus 3 year of full-time work experience, preferably in SBA special servicing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
