Job Summary

Duties

Prepare and assemble meals with precision, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative dishes and accommodating special dietary needs
Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
Support kitchen operations through food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes in line with quality standards
Serve meals efficiently to guests or residents, maintaining excellent customer service and communication
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and smooth kitchen workflow

Requirements

Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide preferred
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or culinary settings
Knowledge of menu planning and meal presentation techniques
Experience in fine dining environments or catering services is highly desirable
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is advantageous
