Finance Manager (F&I Manager) — Hawthorne Auto Square

Location: Hawthorne, CA
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $17/per hour or Commission pay. Whichever is higher

Hawthorne Auto Square is a high-volume dealership committed to helping customers secure reliable vehicles with flexible financing solutions. We specialize in working with a wide range of credit profiles and pride ourselves on delivering a fast, transparent, and customer-focused buying experience.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager (F&I Manager) to lead financing operations, maximize profitability, and ensure compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for structuring automotive finance deals, securing lender approvals, presenting F&I products, and ensuring accurate, compliant documentation. This role works closely with sales, lenders, and customers to drive deal completion and dealership profitability.

Must have valid sales License and Driver License

Key Responsibilities

Structure finance and lease deals using dealership management systems and lender portals
Submit credit applications and negotiate approvals with banks, credit unions, and subprime lenders
Present and sell F&I products including service contracts, GAP, and ancillary products
Ensure all contracts and disclosures meet federal, state, and dealership compliance standards
Maintain strong relationships with lending partners to expand approval opportunities
Review deals for profitability and accuracy before funding
Manage CIT (contracts in transit) and follow up on funding requirements
Train sales staff on deal structure and financing processes
Deliver a professional, transparent customer experience

Qualifications

2+ years automotive Finance Manager / F&I experience preferred
Strong knowledge of prime and subprime lending
Experience with RouteOne, Dealertrack, or similar platforms
Working knowledge of DMV paperwork and compliance requirements
Proven track record of product penetration and deal profitability
Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Preferred Experience

Independent dealership or special finance experience
Experience working guaranteed approval or credit-challenged customers
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Knowledge of California regulatory requirements
