Full Job Description

Zam Dental, a dynamic and privately owned dental practice, is on the lookout for a high-energy Front Desk Receptionist to join our dedicated team. Dr. Melody Zamora, owner and dentist, established Zam Dental in 2014 and is proud to offer comprehensive dental services to the community. We prioritize patient education and foster a welcoming environment to ensure a premium patient experience. The practice exclusively serves PPO and fee for service patients, while offering several payment options for clients, including an in-house dental membership plan.

The clinic is proud to offer modern amenities to our team of clinicians such as advanced Green CBCT and Pano technologies, Itero 3D wellness scans, Digital X-ray systems, in-house crown milling, and Dental Intel analytics to assist clinicians in monitoring scheduling and production while continuing to provide excellent quality care.

The ideal Front Desk Receptionist candidate will be able to warmly greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, present treatment plans, prepare correspondences and understand and submit dental insurance benefit claims. As you become comfortable with those initial duties, a top-performing dental receptionist will be integral in assisting to implement practice systems to ensure an effective, efficient operation for the dental practice.

General Responsibilities:

BE ON TIME
Greet and welcome patients to the practice.
Follow office policy and instructions.
Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed.
Assist patient’s guardian in filling out registration and intake forms.
Prepare patient checklist and assist in daily schedules for the dental staff.
Update patient records and document recent treatments and procedures.
Schedule follow-up appointments and provide reminders via text and phone call.
Communicate with dental insurance providers to ensure patient is active and able to be seen and treated at our clinic,
Present treatment plans, correctly generate patient bill and collect payment accordingly.

Dental Receptionist Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in dental office
Proven experience working in a dental office.
Sound knowledge of dental terminology and coding.
Proficient in dental practice management software (PMS).
Knowledge in Open Dental patient management software is a plus.
Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
Good telephone etiquette.

THIS ROLE IS A “GROWTH POSITION.” IT CAN LEAD TO OTHER INTERNAL HIGHER LEVEL POSITIONS.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
