Position Overview
Atlantic Electric is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Operations Manager with a background in electrical engineering, electrical construction, and water/wastewater treatment facilities. This role that requires active engagement in field operations, including walking jobsites, reinforcing safety policies and procedures, and supporting teams in maintaining high operational standards. The position also works side by side with project managers, providing direct support to ensure successful project execution and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects, with afocus on water/wastewater treatment facilities
Oversee execution of federal projects, including compliance with agency requirements such as NAVFAC, and FAA
Ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, reporting, and documentation standards
Trusted partner of project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Manage project schedules and budgets
Review and interpret electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals
Coordinate closely with engineers, contractors, and government representatives
Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance
Identify and resolve operational challenges, risks, and project issues proactively
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical construction
Demonstrated experience with water/wastewater treatment plant projects
Experience working on federal, government, or USACE/NAVFAC/FAA projects
Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects and teams
Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and applicable federal construction standards
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and control system designs

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, controls, and commercial/industrial electrical construction practices.
Proven understanding of construction project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, labor productivity, change orders, and margin management.
Experience supporting or managing complex electrical construction projects in federal, government, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead field operations while maintaining strong collaboration with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and field personnel.
Working knowledge of project scheduling software, construction management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and engineering documents.
Strong commitment to safety leadership with experience reinforcing OSHA standards, company safety policies, and jobsite compliance.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively support both field and office teams.
Hands-on leadership style with the willingness to walk jobsites, mentor teams, and assist with project execution when needed.
Experience with estimating, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and operational planning is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining attention to detail and accountability.
Knowledge of federal contracting requirements, public-sector procurement, and compliance standards preferred.
PMP, PE, OSHA 30, or other industry certifications are considered a plus.
