Full Job Description

Medical Receptionist

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for duties of a medical practice, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records. Job may require Medical Assitant responsibilities as well.

This position requires a strong ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties:
·Greet all patients and visitors to the practice warmly and provide appropriate information on patient care
·Check patients in and out and verify insurance
·Answer phone inquiries and complaints; provide appropriate advice and assistance
·Maintain office cleanliness
·Check faxes and type outgoing mail
·Update patient records in medical terminology database and office filing system
·Maintain office supply inventory

·Perform other duties as assigned by management or practice administrator, including patient scheduling, billing, and other duties as assigned by management or practice administrator

Requirements:
·High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred
·Medical Receptionist experience preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person! Medical Assistant experience preferred as well.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Must be willing to learn new software programs.
·Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
·Must be able to pass a criminal background check to determine if you are suitable for working in our practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
