Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Full-Time Dental Assistant & Front Office Team Member to join our vibrant dental practice. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing front desk operations seamlessly. You will be the friendly face our patients see first and the skilled professional supporting clinical procedures behind the scenes. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties

Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize dental instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management protocols
Assist dentists during procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, operating dental x-ray equipment, and utilizing 3D scanners for advanced imaging when necessary
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology to enhance their understanding of procedures such as endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry
Manage front desk responsibilities including answering phone calls, processing payments, verifying insurance benefits, and coordinating patient flow efficiently
Support clinical staff with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards across all operations

Requirements

Proven experience in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred
Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar medical documentation software is a plus
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice management
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards; familiarity with dental x-ray equipment and 3D scanners is advantageous
Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management techniques
Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and front desk interactions as a dental receptionist
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry including oral cavity structures; familiarity with prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry enhances your effectiveness
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment demonstrating four-handed dentistry techniques when assisting clinicians
Commitment to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection control standards at all times
