Project Manager

Location: Portland Metro Area, OR

Lead Projects. Build Relationships. Drive Results.

An established and growing company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction-related projects from initial client contact through successful completion. This role combines business development, estimating, project management, and customer relationship management.

We're looking for a motivated professional who enjoys building client relationships, developing new business, managing multiple projects, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Duties:

Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Meet with customers to assess project needs and conduct site visits.
Prepare estimates, proposals, and project bids.
Manage projects from contract award through completion.
Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project schedules.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and overall profitability.
Communicate regularly with customers regarding project progress and expectations.
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
Resolve project challenges while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with operations, field personnel, dispatch, and accounting to ensure successful project execution.
Identify opportunities for additional work and repeat business.

Responsibilities:

Five (5) or more years of progressive experience managing heavy civil construction projects, including excavation, grading, underground utilities, road/highway construction, structures, or other related infrastructure projects.
Experience developing estimates, preparing proposals, and managing projects from bid through completion.
Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to pass a pre employment drug screening (includes THC).
