Sous Chef – Park City Club

Join One of Dallas' Premier Private Clubs

Park City Club is seeking a talented, organized, and service-focused Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a culinary professional who excels in both a la carte dining and banquet operations and is passionate about delivering exceptional food and memorable member experiences.

As the Executive Chef's second-in-command, the Sous Chef will play a key leadership role in daily kitchen operations, food production, staff development, quality control, and culinary execution. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading a busy lunch service, executing an elegant banquet, interacting with members, and mentoring the next generation of culinarians.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a chef who demonstrates:

· Strong a la carte and banquet experience

· Exceptional plating, presentation, and attention to detail

· Outstanding organization and prep management skills

· Proven food cost awareness and inventory control abilities

· Commitment to sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety

· High standards for cleanliness and kitchen organization

· Strong leadership and team development skills

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment

· A positive attitude and a willingness to lead by example

Key Responsibilities

· Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations

· Lead daily food production for dining rooms, member events, and banquets

· Ensure consistency in quality, flavor, presentation, and portion control

· Supervise, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff

· Manage prep production and mise en place to ensure smooth service execution

· Coordinate buffet presentations and banquet production

· Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste control initiatives

· Uphold the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and cleanliness

· Expedite service during peak meal periods

· Assist with scheduling, inventories, purchasing, and administrative functions

· Build strong working relationships with members and fellow department leaders

· Assume responsibility for kitchen operations in the Executive Chef's absence

Qualifications

· Previous Sous Chef or senior culinary leadership experience

· Strong background in upscale dining, private clubs, hotels, or resorts preferred

· Experience managing both a la carte and banquet production

· Knowledge of food cost controls, inventory management, and labor efficiency

· ServSafe Certification preferred

· Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

· Ability to use email, spreadsheets, recipe management, and inventory systems

· Strong communication and leadership skills
