Job Title: Epic Grand Central Analyst

Job Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid, Once in a Week)

Description:

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an Epic Grand Central Analyst to join our growing team. The Epic Grand Central Analyst will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, testing, optimization, and ongoing support of the Epic Grand Central (ADT) application. The analyst will support patient admission, discharge, transfer, registration, patient movement, bed management, and hospital operations workflows. This role will partner closely with clinical, operational, registration, nursing, patient access, bed management, and IT teams to ensure Epic Grand Central functionality supports efficient patient flow and organizational requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, configure, maintain, and optimize Epic Grand Central functionality supporting Admission, Discharge, Transfer (ADT) workflows.
Configure and support patient registration, admission, discharge, transfer, patient movement, and encounter management processes.
Support bed management and bed planning workflows, including bed requests, assignments, transfers, availability, and patient placement.
Analyze current-state workflows and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving patient flow and operational efficiency.
Gather and document functional requirements from patient access, registration, nursing, bed management, clinical, and administrative stakeholders.
Translate business and operational requirements into Epic Grand Central configuration and build specifications.
Participate in full lifecycle Epic implementations, enhancements, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and new functionality deployments.
Develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing for Grand Central workflows and configuration changes.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to ADT, registration, patient movement, encounter creation, bed management, and related workflows.
Collaborate with other Epic application teams to support integrated workflows across Orders, ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude, Security, Reporting, and other applications.
Support interfaces and downstream integrations dependent on accurate ADT and patient demographic information.
Analyze workflow impacts associated with Epic upgrades and system changes and coordinate required configuration and testing activities.
Develop test scripts, workflow documentation, configuration documentation, training materials, tip sheets, and support procedures.
Participate in go-live planning, command center support, post-go-live stabilization, and issue resolution.
Monitor recurring application issues and recommend configuration or workflow improvements to improve usability, patient throughput, and operational efficiency.
Ensure Grand Central configuration aligns with organizational policies, healthcare standards, patient safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, clinical informatics teams, technical teams, vendors, and operational leadership throughout implementation and optimization initiatives.
Participate in requirements workshops, design sessions, application governance meetings, change control processes, and project status meetings.
Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer to registration, patient access, nursing, bed management, and other operational teams.

Qualification Requirements:

Epic Grand Central Certification required.
Hands-on experience with Epic Grand Central / ADT application functionality.
Strong understanding of Admission, Discharge, Transfer (ADT) workflows.
Experience with patient registration, encounter management, patient movement, bed management, and patient placement.
Experience with Epic application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
Strong understanding of hospital operational and patient-flow workflows.
Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into Epic solutions.
Experience with unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting Epic upgrades, implementations, optimization, and go-live activities preferred.
Healthcare IT / hospital systems experience required.
