Full Job Description

We are a private OB / GYN practice located on the MGB/ Newton-Wellesley Hospital campus with four local satellite offices. Our practice has been serving our community since 1993 and take pride in the group of care givers we work with who consistently provide outstanding, compassionate healthcare to our patients. This is a great opportunity for you if you enjoy being a part of a team that everyday works to provide our patients a positive and comforting healthcare experience.

Description of role:

We are seeking clinical medical assistants with OB/GYN experience that are compassionate, organized, detail oriented and highly motivated, to be a part of a team. This position requires reliability and timeliness

Skills and requirements:

2-5 years as a medical assistant in the care of OB / GYN patients.
Exceptional communication skills; professional, courteous and clear.
Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
The ability to maintain effective organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
Strong clinical and judgment skills are essential
Epic (EMR) experience preferred

Reliable transportation

Tasks:

Travelling to a local satellites office weekly, required. All offices are located within a 15 mile radius.
Assist providers with office procedures, i.e. LEEP, HYSTEROSCOPY, NEXPLANON, biopsies.
Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
Prescription management tasks including prior authorizations
Prepares radiology and laboratory orders
Responsible for maintaining patient exam rooms
Assist the clinical team in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.
Responsibilities will include, without limitation, all generally accepted office responsibilities

Work schedule:

Full time, Monday - Friday, hours may include 7:00 am and/or 8:00 am arrival.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to satellite locations.
Free parking, but also just a short walk to the Green Line

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

What type of injections are you familiar with and how often have you administered them?
Do you have experience working in a fast paced, multi provider practice?
Have you routinely set up prescriptions for a provider ?
How many hysteroscopies have you set up and assisted ?

How many LEEP's have you set up and assisted ?
Do you have experience using a manual blood pressure cuff?

Do you know why an accurate manual BP is important in the obstetric setting ?
