Account Manager (Mid-Market)

Location: In-Office / Hybrid / Remote (Occasional Travel)

Reports To: Director of Sales

Position Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of independent

dispensaries and small-to-mid-sized retail chains while actively driving new business acquisition.

This role sits at the core of LuvBuds’ revenue engine, combining relationship management,

consultative selling, and disciplined pipeline execution.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can balance inbound account needs with outbound

prospecting, while introducing customers to LuvBuds’ data-driven programs and merchandising

solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Growth

● Manage and grow a portfolio of active customer accounts

● Increase order frequency, average order value, and overall account penetration

● Build strong relationships with buyers, GMs, and store operators

● Proactively identify opportunities for expansion within existing accounts

New Business Development

● Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts within assigned territory

● Execute consistent outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn, in-person where

applicable)

● Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities

● Convert leads into long-term customers through structured follow-up

Sales Execution

● Promote LuvBuds’ full product portfolio, including house brands and key vendor partners

● Execute product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns

● Upsell and cross-sell across categories to maximize basket size

● Maintain strong product knowledge and market awareness

Program Adoption & Merchandising

● Introduce and drive adoption of key LuvBuds programs, including:

○ TRIAD (VMI + merchandising + incentives)

○ SSIAB (Smoke Shop in a Box)

○ Promotional bundles and in-store merchandising strategies

● Educate customers on how these programs increase sell-through and profitability

● Partner with internal teams to support execution and follow-through

Pipeline & Activity Management

● Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM (HubSpot)

● Consistently meet or exceed daily/weekly activity targets

● Forecast revenue and manage opportunities through the sales cycle

● Keep account notes, follow-ups, and next steps clearly documented

KPIs / Success Metrics

● Revenue growth within assigned accounts

● New accounts acquired and activated

● Order frequency and average order value (AOV)

● Pipeline creation, velocity, and conversion rate

● Activity metrics (calls, meetings, outreach)

● Program adoption (TRIAD, SSIAB, etc.)

Qualifications

● 2–5 years of sales experience (inside sales, outside sales, or account management)

● Proven ability to prospect, close, and grow accounts

● Strong organizational and time management skills

● Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously

● Results-driven with a high level of ownership and accountability

● Experience in cannabis, smoke shop, convenience, or CPG industries is a plus

Compensation

● Base Salary: $55, 000-$60,000

● Commission: Uncapped, performance-based

● On-Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000 – $140,000+

Comp Structure Philosophy:

● Strong emphasis on revenue growth + cash collection performance

● Incentives aligned to both new business acquisition and account expansion

● Clear path to increased earnings through consistent performance

just for selling products, but for helping customers build more profitable accessory programs

through better merchandising, inventory management, and execution.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
