Full Job Description

Overview

The Production Manager oversees all PAVE Manufacturing operations, including internal prefabrication for industrial electrical projects and external customer manufacturing services. The role manages production planning, resource allocation, quality control, process improvement, cost control, safety compliance, and coordination of PAVE Manufacturing employees and union electrical employees.

Responsibilities

Develop daily/weekly production schedules, determine staffing needs, and coordinate with Metal Fabrication, Prefabrication, project managers, and the PLD team.
Manage external customer relationships and act as ERP SME for production processes, cost management, productivity tracking, and quoting.
Lead time studies and maintain a quoting system that produces fast, accurate, ERP‑ready templates.
Lead in‑house design efforts with engineers and detailers; improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, and cost‑control measures.
Maintain a Quality Management System and support continuous improvement.
Oversee facility evaluations, equipment upgrades, maintenance, and expansion; interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Promote safety, enforce protocols, and maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment.
Coordinate PAVE manufacturing and union electrical employees; implement training, improve work instructions, conduct evaluations, and manage the manufacturing budget.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Production Management or related field, or 5+ years of production management experience.
Experience in project management and custom equipment/tooling design.
Familiarity with fabrication tools/processes and ability to design new processes and detailed work instructions.
Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, communication, teamwork, and knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations.
CAD experience is a plus; ability to perform high‑quality repetitive work with a positive attitude; willingness to learn and ask questions.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods; occasional bending/stooping/crouching; good vision and hearing; ability to wear PPE; tolerance for noise, dust, and temperature changes; strong adherence to safety protocols.
