Registered Nurse – Urgent Care | Alaska

Location: Alaska
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Urgent Care to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced clinic environment. The RN will work closely with providers and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow, excellent clinical outcomes, and compliance with SEARHC standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care and clinical services to urgent care patients.
Assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and patient care.
Perform patient assessments, specimen collection, and Point-of-Care testing.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care.
Ensure appropriate medication and supply inventory is maintained.
Complete required quality control checks for Point-of-Care testing.
Support opening and closing procedures for provider clinics.
Provide leadership and direction to clinic staff to promote efficient operations.
Anticipate provider and patient needs and assist other clinic staff as necessary.
Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and other departments.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized clinical environment.
Follow infection control, safety, and SEARHC policies and procedures.
Maintain required competencies, certifications, and annual training.
Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and educational programs.
Address and escalate patient, staff, or safety concerns appropriately.

Requirements:

Active, unrestricted Alaska RN License REQUIRED
Alaska RN License must be active at time of submission for agency candidates
BLS certification required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of Urgent Care experience REQUIRED
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical skills
Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient/urgent care environment preferred

Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of nursing processes, patient safety, and infection control.
Ability to perform assessments and anticipate patient needs.
Proficiency with computers and medical equipment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to teach and support other staff members.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform clinical duties for extended periods.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Pay: $2,900.00 - $3,100.00 per week
