We are a prestigious full-service top CPA firm in the Kansas City area that provides services in tax, auditing, litigation support, fraud investigation, forensics, valuations, technology consulting and business consulting. We are actively seeking a senior associate with four to eight years of public accounting experience to add to our dynamic tax department. As a key member of our firm, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and collaborate with experienced professionals, while gaining invaluable experience. We are looking for someone with the following:

Job Responsibilities

Handle tax planning projects for individuals and businesses
Review individual, partnership, trust, and corporation tax returns
Prepare complex tax returns
Manage client relationships and staff
Identify and research accounting and tax related matters
Provide accounting assistance to small and medium sized businesses
Coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Calculate income tax provisions for GAAP financial statements
Train staff
Learn new information and skills quickly and stay updated on changes in tax laws
Communicate with management and clients on tax issues and situations
Incorporate AI tools into daily workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy, while maintaining sound professional judgment

Preferred Experience

CPA
Four to eight years' experience in a Public accounting firm's tax department (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience with ProSystem Engagement and/or Axcess Tax/ProSystemTax helpful
Experience with CCH AnswerConnect platform helpful
Experience with QuickBooks helpful
