Accounts Payable Clerk

Phoenix, AZ

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a growing organization in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable processing a large volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Process high-volume accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and payment exceptions
Maintain vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries
Prepare payments and ensure compliance with company procedures
Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Reconcile vendor statements and identify outstanding items
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient invoice processing

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of recent accounts payable experience
Proven experience with three-way matching processes
Background handling high-volume invoice processing environments
Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
