Full Job Description

Description:

Under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor, the service technician will provide TCS product and related service activities for the testing and staging of customer orders in a timely and accurate fashion, as well work to complete all customer repairs/RMAs, Saturn auto wheel refurbs, etc. The position will also be responsible for coordinating and tracking all inventory and asset transfers in and out of the technical room, technicians’ bags, chipper and wheel refurbs, etc. As time allows, you will also learn the TCS products maintenance schedules, hardware & software troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, system configuration and some limited onsite support to the customers and the TCS technical team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Inspect, check, test, and document technical products leaving the TCS technical room to customer sites, ensuring the products have been fully tested, configured correctly and are in good working condition.
Complete all Saturn Auto wheel full refurbishments be replacing the specified refurb parts, cleaning the wheel, and running the wheel through all testing activities.
Assist to develop and maintain helpful product guides to technicians and casino users for product setup, troubleshooting, upgrade, connection and configuration guides,
Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment to working order, including swapping failed equipment, cleaning, and/or minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component(s).
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies including accurate and current equipment counts for technician bag supplies as well as other documentation, schematics and preventive maintenance procedures.
Assist in testing of new TCS product software versions, configuration settings, release, patches, etc. Provide itemized feedback, bug and issue reporting, functionality concerns, etc.
Provide basic service support for basic troubleshooting skills for TCS core products and equipment at customer sites.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Monitor the condition of components and recommend replacement and/or upgrades as required to customer equipment (Saturn auto wheel refurbishments and customer RMA’s) in alignment with TCS service procedures.
Provide all necessary product, troubleshooting, maintenance and general troubleshooting and training to customers, mainly through phone/Teams support, or with the opportunity of onsite support. Learn all product support and maintenance activities for onsite support, in case you are called upon to visit & support customer casino sites.
Participate in technical team training, including learning new procedures and new products, participate in product training including learning new product release & product information (technical user and installation manuals, technical bulletins, online training, remote training, team training, etc.).
Track all maintenance and installation work via Salesforce, M1 and other tools ensure the proper documentation and forms are completed and are submitted/uploaded to the required systems for internal tracking and billing.
Complete basic tasks in M1 for recording parts used/transferred, product movements, inventory levels and variances, reporting activities, testing, equipment problems and diagnosis, recommendations for improvements to products and services, recommended spare parts lists and levels, etc.
Participate in a technical team to work together as a highly effective team to provide a high level of customer to support to TCS customers and the TCS management team.

Academic Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED

Skills

Strong mechanical, troubleshooting and computer skills and understanding of hardware/software peripheral equipment set up, and ERP software use.
Computer skills should include a working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, .
Attention to detail is a must, pay attention to the minute details of the job, including diagnostic testing, service and testing forms, details for replacement parts, recording customer case files, etc.
Manual Dexterity and the use of ones hands with precision on small items and/or small in small spaces
Good customer facing skills
Organized approach to workload planning
Ability to learn new skills and products quickly and efficiently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Prior casino and gaming knowledge and experience would be an asset

Requirements

Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel
Any experience in a technical service-related role would be an asset, but not required

Location based in NY, specifically Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, or Manhattan
