JOB DESCRIPTION

Scripps Health Inpatient Providers Medical Group is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) physician who is Board

Certified in Family Medicine/ Internal Medicine or similar, to provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to Qualcomm Employee Health Center patients at 2 employee care centers on the Qualcomm San Diego Campus.

Job Location: San Diego

Position Type: Part-time – 0.5 FTE (2-3 days per week)

Hours of Operation: M-F 8am-5pm

Minimum Job Requirements:

A license to practice medicine in California;
National Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine;
BLS, ACLS certifications;
A valid DEA license;
Strong computer skills with knowledge of, or experience with, EPIC; and
Designated Civil Surgeons | USCIS; or Willingness to become a licensed Civil Surgeon designated by USCIS for conducting immigration physicals.

Key Responsibilities

Provides clinical care with emphasis on the whole patient, including not only the medical needs, but the cognitive, psychological, functional and social needs.
Coordinates care management proactively, working with the healthcare team to produce excellent outcomes.
Participates in quality assurance activities.
Takes call and shares other duties as determined by the medical group.
Provide supervision to nurse practitioners and physician assistants on the care team.
Participates in clinical program development.

Ability to work shifts as scheduled, Monday-Friday from (8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
