Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Truck Driver Recruiter to join our growing team! In this vital role, you will be the driving force behind attracting, engaging, and onboarding talented truck drivers to meet our company’s transportation needs. Your energetic approach and strategic mindset will ensure we connect with top-tier candidates, fostering a strong talent pipeline that supports our operational excellence. Responsibilities

Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to identify qualified truck driver candidates through social media management, job boards, cold calling, and research.
Manage the full-cycle recruiting process using different tools to track candidate progress and maintain accurate records.
Conduct engaging interviews to assess technical skills, driving history, safety compliance, and cultural fit while providing a positive candidate experience.
Negotiate employment contracts and employment terms with prospective drivers while ensuring compliance with employment & labor law standards.
Collaborate with hiring managers and internal teams to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment campaigns.
Maintain strong relationships with candidates through effective communication skills, talent management practices, and ongoing engagement.
Support onboarding processes including employee orientation and training & development initiatives to ensure smooth integration.

Skills

Proven expertise in recruiting within the transportation or logistics sector, especially technical recruiting for over the road truck drivers.
Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication skills to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers alike.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Tenstreet.
Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations relevant to driver employment, DOT and contract management.
Ability to utilize social media management tools for lead generation and brand promotion in talent acquisition efforts.
Experience in on site recruitment, employee relations, and employee evaluation processes.
Prior experience with TMS software such as TMW.
Demonstrated relationship management skills with cold calling experience for proactive candidate outreach; research abilities for market intelligence.
