Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources - Bilingual Spanish (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The Director is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and contributing to long-range strategic talent management goals. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR leader who thrives in a smaller-company environment and enjoys developing strategy while remaining involved in day-to-day execution.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee all HR functions, including employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR operations across 38 states, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The company has extensive operations in California.
Lead HR transformation initiatives, including process standardization across jurisdictions.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and enforce HR policies that comply with federal, state, and local labor laws. Become familiar with union work environments.
Identify and mitigate risks related to employee documentation, onboarding, and recordkeeping.
Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure policies/procedures remain current across all operating states.
Partner with legal counsel on employment law matters, investigations, and compliance issues.
Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

· Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Bilingual - English/Spanish required

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

· At least 5 years of human resource management experience in a multi-state organization required.

· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Compensation:

$100,000-$120,000 plus Bonus

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
