Full Job Description

Laser Operator

Major Responsibilities:

Machine set up and operation.
Loading, unloading and maintaining material.
Maintain daily dust collector service and report equipment deficiencies.
Monitoring assist and resonator gas levels and recommend supply requirements for daily production.
Adjust laser as needed.
Complete required preventive maintenance functions.
Drive forklift
Running multiple machines and processes simultaneously.
Produce quality parts using a variety of metal fabrication processes and machines.
Operate machines such as drill presses, manual mills, deburring.
Follow quality procedures

Other Responsibilities:

Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools
Maintain confidentiality of customer information
Adhere to all safety policies
Maintain commitment to safety, ethics and professionalism

Desired Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills /Abilities:

Experience is not necessary
Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining helpful.
2-5 year’s experience in the operation of laser metal cutting machines helpful.
Computer skills
Ability to interpret shop drawings, sketches, layouts and blue prints.
Basic math skills
Accurate use of measuring equipment such as tapes and calipers
Versatility
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
