Overview

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Infant Educator, where you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding our youngest learners during their most formative years. This energetic position offers the opportunity to lead classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and foster a safe, engaging environment for infants and toddlers. As a Lead Infant Educator, you will inspire both children and staff through your passion for early childhood education and your commitment to creating a warm, inclusive space that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Duties

Lead daily classroom activities focused on infant and toddler development, ensuring all children are engaged and supported.
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development milestones.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers to ensure high-quality care and consistent classroom management.
Conduct regular assessments of children's developmental progress using established child development instruction techniques.
Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns related to child welfare.
Lead emergency response procedures including pediatric first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring quick and effective action.
Collaborate with team members to create inclusive strategies for children with special needs or disabilities, supporting individualized care plans.
Promote positive behavior management strategies that encourage social-emotional growth among infants and toddlers.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings, particularly with infants and toddlers.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, infant care practices, and classroom management techniques.
Prior experience with preschool or daycare experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members in a professional manner.
Certification in first aid, CPR (Childhood/Infant), and pediatric first aid is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect is essential.
Experience working with children who have disabilities or special needs is advantageous.
Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment that fosters learning through play.
