Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This hybrid position requires time in the office and at clients. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with general accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate or public accounting and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as journal entries and month-end close procedures
- Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions
- Assist with tax preparation and filing activities
- Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in corporate or public accounting or a similar role
- Proficient in using QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
