Full Job Description

There are moments when you've looked a family in the eye and realized the right answer was no—even though saying it meant losing a sale, missing a target, or disappointing a manager. In this role, delivering that honest answer is the expectation.

Alpha operates as a private K–12 school network where students complete their academics in roughly two hours daily, then dedicate the remainder of the day to developing practical skills. The test results validate the approach. This position is campus-based and requires in-person attendance every day at one of 12 U.S. markets: Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Greenwich, CT; Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT. You'll select your preferred market during the application process.

Families invest significantly in this education, conduct extensive research, and will challenge you with detailed questions about academic rigor and expectations within the first few minutes of conversation. The model succeeds only when enrolled families genuinely align with its philosophy. In a small cohort environment, even one misaligned family can alter the experience for everyone.

You will be solely responsible for managing your campus's entire admissions pipeline. From initial contact through fit discussions, campus visits, shadow day coordination, and final decision conversations—you are the consistent point of contact from inquiry to enrollment. A typical week includes: responding to every new inquiry within four hours, guiding a doubtful parent through afternoon programming details, facilitating a shadow day, updating all interactions in HubSpot, and personally informing a family that their child would thrive better at a different school. You'll simultaneously manage 20 or more families at various stages of the enrollment process. You assess fit and communicate outcomes directly, face-to-face, in your own voice.

As the network expands, operational approaches continue to evolve. Those who successfully establish a market presence author the FAQs, define fit criteria, and set standards that subsequent campuses adopt—and they become the trusted referral source among affluent families in their community.

This is a campus-based, in-person role requiring daily on-site presence. Candidates who excel typically include: admissions and enrollment leaders from selective educational institutions; high-value consumer sales professionals serving families, such as luxury real estate agents, private client advisors, or owners of premium service practices; and hospitality or private service professionals experienced in delivering exceptional experiences to discerning clients. What you will be doing

Managing the complete enrollment experience for every prospective family—from initial inquiry through onboarding—and conducting thorough needs assessments before presenting any solutions.
Simultaneously managing 20 or more active family relationships, responding promptly to all inquiries, and reviewing applications on a daily basis.
Facilitating campus tours, open houses, information sessions, and shadow days designed to clearly communicate who the program serves and who it does not.
Making admission or decline recommendations and personally communicating those decisions to families.
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in HubSpot and the student information system (SIS) following each interaction, leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for preparation and summarization, and providing weekly pipeline updates to leadership.

What you will NOT be doing

Prioritizing seat-fill metrics. A family who enrolls then withdraws represents a worse outcome than one you declined upfront.
Having your fit assessments overridden to preserve a relationship or achieve an enrollment target.
Following rigid scripts, conducting high-volume call campaigns, or offering discount-driven closes.
Transferring families through multiple coordinators or waiting on committee approvals for standard decisions.
Conducting superficial amenity tours that avoid difficult questions.

Key Responsibilities

Enroll families who are the right fit for your campus and ensure that even declined families experience exceptional service.

Candidate Requirements

3 or more years in a client-facing capacity where the buyer was an individual or family at $25,000 or more per client, or $2,000 or more monthly. (Direct-to-consumer only; B2B and enterprise sales do not qualify.)
You have personally managed a client, admissions, or enrollment journey from initial inquiry to final commitment.
You have concurrently managed 7 or more client relationships using a CRM, database, or tracking system.
You have advised a prospective client against purchasing, enrolling, or joining due to poor fit.
You have integrated AI tools into client-facing workflows.
You communicate clearly and professionally in both live interactions and written correspondence with executives, high-net-worth individuals, or other discerning clients.
You have personally facilitated polished in-person tours, presentations, meetings, or hosted experiences for affluent families, senior executives, or other distinguished visitors.
You can cultivate multi-touch relationships spanning 30 or more days and maintain engagement with families not yet ready to commit.
You have been accountable for a measurable enrollment, revenue, membership, or high-value customer acquisition goal, including generating qualified leads and establishing local referral or community partnerships.
You currently reside in, or will relocate within 60 days to, one of the following campus markets: Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Greenwich, CT; Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT.
Willing to work on-site at your assigned campus daily.
Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

Admissions or enrollment management background at a selective private, independent, or boarding school.
Experience in luxury residential real estate, private banking, family office services, concierge medicine, or high-end event planning where families were your primary clients.
You designed the enrollment process or service standards yourself rather than inheriting established systems.
You have existing relationships with affluent families, preschools, or family advisors in one of the 12 markets.
Owner-operator experience where you personally sold, delivered, and retained high-value clients.
