We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team as our Collections Manager at our corporate headquarters near St. Louis, Missouri.

What will you be responsible for:

Direct and oversee daily operations of the collections department.
Lead, coach, and support collections staff to promote department effectiveness and employee development.
Ensure all member interactions are handled professionally, respectfully, and in alignment with service standards.
Prepare timely and accurate reports for senior leadership.
Manage delinquent loan accounts and oversee late-payment reminder processes.
Conduct and oversee follow-up communications with members regarding delinquent loan accounts.
Maintain accurate records for delinquent accounts and other accounts that may result in a loss.
Support collections-related audits and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
Serve as liaison to legal counsel regarding collections matters.
Ensure collections activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

What skills does this position require:

Minimum 4 years experience in a financial institution.
Minimum 5 years previous supervisory experience.
Prior financial institution and collections experience preferred.
College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to lead and direct staff to ensure success and growth in position.
Knowledge of bankruptcies, including Chapter 7 and 13, and repossessions.
Knowledge of consumer regulations and collections compliance.
Possess organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Ability to adapt and perform multiple duties in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and have problem-solving skills.
Strong aptitude with communication and above average computer literacy.
