Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Expo/Food Runner and be the vital link that ensures our guests enjoy seamless, delicious dining experiences. In this energetic role, you will be the bridge between the kitchen and the front of house, delivering food with enthusiasm and precision. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are at the forefront.

Responsibilities

Safely transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.
Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing to support kitchen staff as needed.
Clear and reset tables efficiently, bussing dishes and maintaining a clean dining environment.
Handle heavy lifting and manual handling of food trays, equipment, and supplies following safe lifting practices.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to coordinate timely food delivery.
Support cleaning duties in the dining area, including wiping down surfaces and organizing service stations.
Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy when required.
Ensure food safety standards are upheld by adhering to proper food handling procedures.
Assist with in-person customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere through friendly communication and guest engagement.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and basic food preparation techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact with guests.
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
Familiarity with banquet service, catering, or hotel experience is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts.
