Full Job Description

Rush Transportation & Logistics, a local family-owned logistics company in Dayton, is seeking a strong Customer Invoicing Specialist to take charge of our billing needs and help guarantee the Company’s revenues and help us to keep growing. This position will provide a variety of financial related support for our customer invoicing activities for our external customers.

This job is on-site and does not offer remote work.

What You’ll Do:

Assume the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to detail and accuracy.
Utilize our accounting software to identify outstanding accounts.
Generate bills and invoices specific to our customer requirements and accounts.
Deliver invoices to customers via digital and traditional mail services.
Process all payments received using various pay services.
Reconcile all payments with accounts.
Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies.
Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments.
Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines.
Provide solutions to any invoicing problems of customers.
Create thorough reports on invoicing activity with clear and reliable data.
Other duties as assigned.

Must Haves for Success in this Role:

You must have experience in an accounting role previously.
Proven experience as a Invoicing Specialist with at least 3+ years of relatable experience.
Must have a strong proficiency in Excel.
Understanding of accounting software systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computational skills with extreme attention to detail.
Ability to be productive with or without direct oversight.
Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with customers and data.
Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related accounting/financial software.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of direct invoicing experience is required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

Schedule:

1st Shift, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm EST
Hours may exceed 40 per workweek and may include occasional evenings and weekends
