Full Job Description

Part-Time Accounting Clerk

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is the leading authority and resource worldwide for the development and distribution of consensus-based standards, technical resources, and educational programs related to the concrete industry.

We are looking for an individual who can serve as an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable clerk in our Finance and Administration Department with reconciliation and deposit accounting duties including:

· Generating invoices in accounting software for membership and other organizational activities

· Maintain accounts receivable records and collections support

· Applying payments to customer accounts

· Bank deposits and general ledger posting

· Account reconciliations

· Credit card activity reconciliation and communication with staff regarding backup documentation

· Access third party websites and retrieve necessary reports and documentation

· Miscellaneous accounting projects as assigned

· Process weekly accounts payable

· Vendor maintenance and complete and file annual 1099 forms

· Additional accounting and finance projects

Job Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred

· Basic mathematical and analytical skills

This position requires the individual to work at ACI headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI. The hours will be Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day. After an initial training period, the work schedule may be modified.
