Litigation Paralegal, Consumer Class Actions (Plaintiff-Side)

About the firm

Dapeer Law is a plaintiff-side consumer class action firm. We hold companies accountable when they break consumer protection laws, across TCPA, data breach, biometric privacy, false reference pricing, and auto insurance, and we run our cases from first intake all the way through resolution. We are a small, high-caliber team that moves fast and expects a lot from the people on it. The role

We are looking for a paralegal who owns the calendar.

You will be the operational backbone of our litigation and intake process: calculating and docketing every deadline, keeping cases moving, keeping our systems clean, and catching the things that would otherwise slip. The attorneys handle strategy and judgment calls. You make sure every date is on the calendar before anyone has to ask, and that nothing falls through the cracks.

Our matters run in multiple courts and multiple jurisdictions at the same time, which means multiple sets of rules and deadlines running at once. The person in this seat is the single source of truth for all of them.

If you are the kind of paralegal who calendars a deadline the moment an order hits the docket, who notices when a date on a document does not match the intake note, who flags a missing piece before it becomes a problem, and who takes real ownership of a process rather than waiting to be told each step, you will do well here.

What you will do

Deadlines and calendaring, the core of this role

Own the firm-wide litigation calendar across every active matter and jurisdiction
Calculate response, discovery, and motion deadlines from the applicable federal, state, and local rules and from court orders, and docket them accurately the same day they issue
Monitor court dockets daily and calendar new deadlines, hearings, and case management dates as they come in
Build in reminders and lead time so attorneys get advance notice instead of day-of surprises
Track the dates other people owe us, from opposing counsel, co-counsel, clients, and administrators, and follow up before they lapse
Run a standing deadline review with the attorneys so nothing sits unassigned or unconfirmed

Case and file management

Manage client intake through our CRM, including lead vetting and client screening against defined criteria
Coordinate presuit case assembly and discovery, gathering documents from clients and organizing files
Conform, format, and assemble litigation documents and prepare filings for attorney review
Support e-filing in state and federal court and maintain an accurate docket
Interface with clients, co-counsel, and outside firms to move cases forward and gather what we need
Keep case management and intake systems organized, current, and accurate, with consistent naming, statuses, and file structure
Flag inconsistencies, missing information, and anything that does not line up, before it reaches a filing

What we are looking for

3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, plaintiff-side or consumer litigation strongly preferred
Demonstrated ownership of a litigation calendar. You have run the deadlines for a full docket of active matters, not just entered dates someone else calculated
Fluency with deadline computation under the federal rules and their state analogues, including service, response, discovery, and motion practice
Exceptional organization. You have a system for everything, and the discipline to keep it current when things get busy
Meticulous attention to detail. You catch the discrepancy others miss
The instinct to raise a hand when something does not add up, rather than proceed on a guess
Ability to follow a defined process precisely and to own it end to end with minimal supervision
Comfort carrying multiple matters and competing deadlines at once without dropping any
Clear, professional written communication for client and co-counsel correspondence
Familiarity with state and federal e-filing (CM/ECF)
Proficiency with case management and legal tech tools

Nice to have

Experience with class action or mass litigation
Experience calendaring across multiple states or federal districts
Familiarity with docketing, case management, intake, and automation tools
Experience with high-volume intake or lead management
