Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team at Whitefish's newest restaurant as a Line Cook and bring your passion for food to life! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing delicious dishes with precision and enthusiasm. Your culinary skills will shine as you work alongside a talented team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. We value safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, ensuring that every meal served meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your culinary expertise while contributing to a vibrant food service environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and other appliances
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Assist in meal preparation for dine-in, takeout, or catering orders with attention to detail
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service flow
Follow food handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent contamination or accidents
Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly preferred
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering operations enhances your fit for this role
