Dental Insurance & Treatment Plan Coordinator (Full-Time)

At this time, we are looking for a full-time Dental Insurance & Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our growing team.

We are a start-up dental office that has been open for just over a year, and we are growing rapidly! This is an exciting opportunity to join a practice in its early stages and play a key role in shaping its future.

We are seeking a team member who takes the time to truly listen, connect, and tailor communication to each patient’s individual needs. Preventative dentistry and patient education are at the core of what we do. We believe in empowering patients through education so they can make informed decisions about their long-term oral health.

We also value a strong team mentality. This is an “all hands on deck” environment where everyone supports one another, stays motivated, and contributes to the continued growth of the practice. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-driven, and excited to be part of a collaborative, positive, and evolving team.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
Manage insurance billing processes, including claim submission, verification, and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursement.
Monitor and maintain accounts receivable (A/R), generate aging reports, resolve outstanding insurance and patient balances
Enter insurance payments accurately and adjust patient accounts based on EOBs, contractual adjustments, and payment discrepancies.
Present treatment plans and explain financial options clearly and confidently
Help patients understand the value of recommended care and move forward with treatment
Support front desk operations including scheduling, check-in/check-out, and patient communication

Qualifications:

Previous dental office experience required
Previous experience as a Dental Assitant is preferred but not required
Strong understanding of PPO insurance plans and breakdowns
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident discussing finances and treatment with patients
Experience with dental software (knowledge of Dentrix is a plus, but not required)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
