We are looking for a Lead Caregiver who is passionate about mentorship, clinical excellence, and creating a joyful environment for our residents.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Lead Caregiver to oversee the daily operations of an Adult Family Group Home. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory care requirements. Your leadership will ensure a safe, nurturing environment where residents can thrive and feel valued. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring long-term care and support.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate caregiving staff to deliver exceptional resident care, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans and safety protocols
Monitor residents’ health status by observing vital signs, administering medications, and recording patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts, and meal preparation
Implement and update care plans tailored to each resident’s specific needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies
Maintain a clean and safe environment by overseeing cleaning routines, sanitation practices, and proper storage of medications and supplies
Conduct regular patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, escalating concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
Support residents during social activities and community outings to promote engagement and overall well-being

Qualifications

Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on adult care
Strong knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and HIPAA compliance
Certified in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or hospice care are a plus
Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or memory care needs
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for resident assistance and safety procedures
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward residents and team collaboration
Prior leadership experience in caregiving settings is highly desirable
