Derryberry's has been one of Houston's most trusted mechanical contractors since 1983. The team at Derryberry's is known for their remarkable ability to install, service, and maintain a wide range of commercial building systems, ensuring quality services at a competitive rate.

Job Description

A Service Sales / Account Manager with Derryberrys Mechanical will provide high quality customer relations with proficient skills in selling service and preventative maintenance agreements to a commercial and industrial client base. Compensation is a base pay plus commission.

Responsibilities:

Oversees the sales of the designated client base, with an emphasis on growth through the selling of HVAC preventive maintenance agreements to a commercial and industrial client base.
Retains existing accounts by maintaining relationships with decision makers and working with the service team to assure quality service.
Possesses or quickly gains a competent understanding of mechanical systems to effectively price and recommend services.
Effectively manages the credit and collections efforts of the client base with proper assessment of risk on new clients and follow up of existing.
Builds and maintains rapport and positive working relations with all internal staff to effectively manage the territory.
Follows good time management practices in order to accomplish annual sales goals.
Manage and coordinate a team of technicians to perform workorders and solve client needs.
Motivates and encourages the training of any and all subordinates and/or co-workers to improve skills and knowledge of all staff.
Assures compliance with company policies and procedures as well as those of our government.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 to 5 years in sales, HVAC or Plumbing experience a plus.
A basic understanding of mechanical equipment
Completion of High School or GED
EPA Universal a plus
Valid Driver’s License
Pass a drug test
Criminal background check
Excellent customer service and communication skills

Physical Job Requirements:

Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods routinely, throughout the daily work schedule.
The English language is primary. Bi-lingual is a bonus.
Have the ability to walk around the job site, to business meetings, etc .
Have the ability to operate a computer and other industry specific productivity machinery, such as a calculator and telephone.
Have the ability to communicate with Derryberry Mechanical team members and/or customers by phone or in person, exchanging accurate information in these situations.
Have the ability to, from time to time, climb ladders and work on building roofs productively at heights of 50 feet.
Have the ability to visit customers in hot and cold conditions.
