Job Title: House Manager

Location: Leipers Fork, TN

Schedule: TBD | Approx. 30 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours depending on workload – you will be guaranteed 30 hours of pay / week

Compensation: $40+ per hour DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview:

A busy Principal is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and smooth functioning of their private residence in Leiper's Fork, TN.

This role is ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in creating and maintaining an exceptionally well-run home. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with outstanding organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise. This is not a stepping-stone position — it is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives on creating systems and efficiencies, and finds fulfillment in supporting a peaceful, organized household.

The residence serves as both a private home and professional workspace, requiring a House Manager who can ensure the property consistently operates at the highest standard. Success in this role requires discretion, excellent judgment, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and welcoming environment.

The House Manager will work closely with the Principal and Executive Assistant to oversee household operations, coordinate vendors, manage household logistics, and ensure everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes. A weekly housekeeper provides deep cleaning services; this position is responsible for overseeing household operations rather than performing housekeeping duties.

The home includes friendly dogs, so a genuine love of animals is essential. Occasional pet care, house sitting, and related support may be requested.

Key Responsibilities Household Management

● Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence, ensuring the home functions efficiently and seamlessly.

● Develop and maintain household systems, calendars, and routines to support the ongoing care and operation of the property.

● Coordinate and oversee all household vendors and service providers, including scheduling appointments, supervising work, and ensuring services are completed to a high standard.

● Maintain a comprehensive schedule for routine home maintenance, seasonal services, preventative maintenance, inspections, and special projects.

● Serve as the primary point of contact for household-related vendors, contractors, and deliveries.

● Receive, organize, and manage incoming packages, deliveries, and household shipments.

● Monitor household inventory and coordinate the ordering of household supplies, pantry items, paper goods, toiletries, and other essential items.

● Create grocery lists, shop as needed, and ensure the home remains appropriately stocked.

● Maintain organized household records, service schedules, warranties, manuals, and vendor contact information.

● Communicate proactively with the Principal and Executive Assistant regarding household priorities, maintenance needs, upcoming projects, and operational updates.

Project Management & Property Oversight

● Coordinate seasonal home transitions, including outdoor furniture, seasonal décor, and property readiness.

● Manage household organization projects, home resets, storage improvements, and space optimization initiatives.

● Oversee vendor appointments, deliveries, maintenance projects, and home improvement work from start to finish.

● Ensure the property remains well-maintained by identifying issues proactively and coordinating timely solutions.

● Assist with preparing the home for guests, meetings, or special occasions as needed.
